The University has given me the opportunity to serve, this is why I would like to express my gratitude to the visionary Hon'ble Founders. The University is the highest sheet of higher education. The Major S.D. Singh University is offering almost all branches of higher learning from traditional, technical, professional and to the vocational. The process of education through training, teaching, and research are running here under able guidance of the Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Anar Singh, who is mentor of the University and also friend, philosopher and guide to all of us and all stake-holders. The University is completing its first acedemic session gracefully. In a very short time its fame and frame of courses attract every students even from other states too. I hope this University will get a better position very soon in the state. A great English Literary figure, Benjamin Disraeli has said that "University should be a place of light, of liberty and of learning." To achieve these goals, the University is consciously, constantly and honestly making efforts and taking measures. The ancint famous mantra adopted as a motto "तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय" of the University. to fulfill it we are trying up hard to provide good & quality education to the people on low cost on the door steps.
