The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two-year full-time course that prepares students to become teachers in primary and upper primary schools. The course includes:

Training: Classroom training, practical training, and internships
Topics: Education practice, child development, and the role of teachers
Teaching methods: Interactive and participatory learning approaches
Recognition: The course is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) & SCERT

To be eligible for the D.El.Ed course, you must:

  • Have passed gradutaton with a minimum aggregate of 50%
  • Be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh (if applying for the course in Uttar Pradesh)

After completing the course, you can apply for teaching jobs in primary and upper primary schools. You may also need to pass the CTET/TET Exam to apply for government teacher jobs.
