The objective of Navagaman 2026 was to warmly welcome newly admitted students to the Faculty of Pharmacy and provide them with a positive, inspiring and memorable beginning to their academic journey. The programme was organized under the theme “From New Dreams to New Identity”, focusing on helping students build confidence, develop a sense of belongingness and become familiar with their new academic environment.
The activity also aimed to promote junior–senior interaction, faculty–student interaction, teamwork, communication skills, creativity and leadership qualities among students. It further provided an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and become familiar with the University campus and its academic facilities.
Description of the Activity
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Major S.D. Singh University, Farrukhabad organized Navagaman 2026 on 11 August 2026 from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM under the theme “From New Dreams to New Identity.” The programme was organized to warmly welcome newly admitted students and introduce them to the academic, cultural and professional environment of the Faculty and University.
The programme commenced with the inauguration ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, followed by the welcome and felicitation of guests and the bouquet ceremony. The Dean Ma’am delivered the Welcome Address and motivated the students for their new academic journey. A Faculty of Pharmacy video presentation was also presented to familiarize students with the Faculty, its academic environment and activities.
The cultural segment included a Ganesh Dance Performance and other student dance performances, providing students with a platform to showcase their talent, creativity and confidence. Inspirational addresses by the Registrar, Vice-Chancellor, invited guests, Chairperson and Chancellor motivated students to focus on academic excellence, professional development, discipline and overall personality development.
A Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized to recognize and appreciate students for their achievements and participation. Special emphasis was given to junior–senior interaction and faculty–student interaction, enabling newly admitted students to communicate with senior students and faculty members in a friendly and supportive environment.
A guided Campus Visit was also organized for the newly admitted students. Students were introduced to important university facilities including the Library, Pharmacy Laboratories, Seminar Hall, Classrooms, Computer Lab and other academic and institutional facilities. The visit helped students become familiar with the campus infrastructure and available learning resources.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks and Refreshments.
Outcome of the Activity
The Navagaman 2026 programme successfully created a welcoming, positive and motivating environment for newly admitted students. A total of 440 participants, comprising 217 B.Pharm students, 140 D.Pharm students, 19 M.Pharm students and 64 faculty members, actively participated in the programme.
The activity helped newly admitted students become familiar with the Faculty, faculty members, senior students, University campus and academic facilities. The junior–senior and faculty–student interactions developed a sense of belongingness and helped students feel more comfortable in their new academic environment.
The cultural performances and prize distribution provided opportunities for students to demonstrate their talent, creativity and confidence. The campus visit enhanced students’ awareness of the Library, Laboratories, Seminar Hall, Classrooms, Computer Lab and other facilities available at the University.
Overall, the programme encouraged teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, interaction and active participation, providing a positive and memorable beginning to the students’ university journey and effectively reflecting the theme “From New Dreams to New Identity.”
