About the Legal Aid Club
The Legal Aid Club is an important initiative established to promote legal awareness, access to justice, and social responsibility among students and members of the community. The primary purpose of the club is to create awareness about basic legal rights, duties, remedies, and procedures so that individuals can understand and effectively exercise their rights. The club also seeks to encourage the idea that justice should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of their economic or social background.
Legal awareness plays a significant role in building a responsible and informed society. Many people are unaware of the laws that protect them or the legal remedies available when their rights are violated. Lack of legal knowledge, financial difficulties, social barriers, and fear of legal procedures can prevent people from seeking justice. The Legal Aid Club works towards addressing these difficulties by organizing educational and awareness-oriented programmes and by connecting people with appropriate legal assistance wherever required.
The club provides students with an opportunity to understand the practical aspects of law beyond textbooks and classrooms. Through various activities, students can develop communication skills, research abilities, problem-solving skills, and a sense of professional and social responsibility. The club encourages students to participate in legal literacy programmes, seminars, workshops, debates, essay competitions, poster-making activities, street plays, awareness campaigns, and community outreach programmes.
One of the important areas of the Legal Aid Club is spreading awareness among vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society. Special attention may be given to awareness regarding the rights of women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, consumers, workers, and economically weaker sections. The club can also conduct programmes on contemporary legal issues such as cybercrime awareness, consumer protection, domestic violence, child protection, road safety, fundamental rights and duties, and access to free legal services.
Objectives of the Legal Aid Club
The Legal Aid Club aims to promote legal awareness, access to justice, and social responsibility among students and the community. Its major objectives are as follows:

To Promote Legal Awareness- To create awareness among students and the general public about basic laws, legal rights, duties, remedies, and legal procedures.

To Promote Access to Justice- The Legal Aid Club serves as an important platform for Clinical Legal Education at the Faculty of Law.
- Through appropriate activities undertaken with DLSA, SLSA/UPSLSA and other institutions, students gain practical exposure.
- To spread awareness about the availability of legal aid and assist individuals in understanding how and where they can seek appropriate legal assistance.
- A key focus of the Legal Aid Club is to develop meaningful academic and community engagement with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Farrukhabad and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (UPSLSA), wherever appropriate and in accordance with applicable guidelines.

We aim to make legal information simple, understandable, and accessible to people from different sections of society.
The club is particularly committed to promoting awareness among vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, including women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, consumers, workers, and economically weaker sections. Through our activities, we seek to encourage people to understand their rights and approach appropriate legal authorities or services when they require assistance.
