K.L. Chadda Horticulture Club
Introduction
The K.L. Chadda Horticulture Club of Major S.D. Singh University is an academic and co-curricular initiative dedicated to promoting awareness, practical knowledge and active participation in horticulture for gardening, plantation, landscaping, plant care, environmental conservation and sustainable management of green spaces. It provides students with opportunities to understand the importance of plants and green spaces in maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.
The Club aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical experience by encouraging students to participate in plantation programmes, gardening activities, plant identification, garden development, environmental awareness programmes and other horticulture-related activities. This K.L. Chadda Horticulture Club also provides a platform for students from different academic disciplines to work together and develop practical skills, teamwork, leadership, discipline, creativity and environmental responsibility.
Vision
To develop University campus where students understand the importance of horticultural biodiversity, soil health and responsible management of natural resources.
This Club envisions creating a student community that appreciates the value of plants and actively contributes towards environmental conservation, campus beautification and sustainable horticultural practices.

Objectives of the Horticulture Club

Club Membership Rules
Membership of the K.L. Chadda Horticulture Club shall provide students with opportunities to participate in horticultural, environmental, educational, creative and awareness-oriented activities organized by the University.
Students from different academic disciplines may become members of the Club so that horticulture and environmental responsibility can be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Members are expected to:

- ✓ Contribute to plantation and garden-care activities.
- ✓ Take proper care of plants and green spaces.
- ✓ Support cleanliness and environmental awareness.

Membership shall provide students with opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership, responsibility, practical skills, creativity, discipline and appreciation for nature.
