Coding club
Introduction
The Coding Club is a student-driven technical initiative established under the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (Department of Computer Applications) at Major SD Singh University with the aim of developing programming skills, computational thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technological creativity among students.
The club provides a collaborative platform where students from different academic backgrounds can learn programming, practice problem-solving, develop software projects, participate in coding competitions, explore emerging technologies, and collaborate on innovative ideas. The focus is not only on learning programming languages but also on applying programming knowledge to solve real-world problems. Through workshops, coding challenges, technical sessions, project development activities, hackathons, and peer-learning initiatives, members are encouraged to continuously improve their technical and professional capabilities.
Coding Club also aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by exposing students to modern development practices, collaborative tools, software development methodologies, open-source technologies, and competitive programming platforms.

Objectives of the Coding Club
The Coding Club aims to achieve the following objectives:

Develop Programming and Problem-Solving Skills:To strengthen students’ programming fundamentals, logical reasoning, and computational thinking through regular coding practice and problem-solving activities. The club encourages students to approach technical challenges with structured and innovative solutions.

2. Encourage Participation in Coding Competitions:To motivate students to participate in university, national, and international coding competitions. These activities help students improve their coding abilities, speed, accuracy, and confidence in competitive environments.

- ✓ 2. Faculty Guidance — All field visits, garden maintenance activities, collections, and practical workshops shall be conducted under direct faculty supervision.
- ✓ 3. Safety with Toxic Flora — Extreme caution must be exercised when handling Visha and Upavisha plants; no parts may be harvested, tasted, or processed without explicit faculty permission.
- ✓ 4. Active Involvement — Enrolled student members must participate regularly in scheduled garden shifts, plant documentation tasks, and academic events.
- ✓ 5. Code of Conduct — Students are expected to maintain professional discipline, academic rigor, and respect for university plant and laboratory assets at all times.
